Why Writing is Important
Throughout my years of schooling I have written many essays about varying topics. As one progresses, their thoughts and style of writings advances along with them. Therefore, I believe it is important to outline my different sets of writing skills and display my style of writing in many different forms.

What do I get out of writing?
As time has gone on I have continued to ask myself this question and failed to come up with a definitive answer. Now looking back on the countless essays I have written about topics that, to be frank, I could care less about, I've realized that writing means a lot more to me than what I first thought it did. Writing can convey so many things such as ideas and stories and by expressing yourself through words, new advancements in thinking can develop. It is important to be able to express yourself through writing and, most importantly, through storytelling. Though I never noticed it before, the writings of other authors and wrights have affected the way I experience the world around me.
Furthermore, I have always loved to read books that take me to different far off worlds and completely immersed me in a different atmosphere and, unknowingly, growing up, those types of writing have affected my views on worldly matters such as justice and liberty. Noticing how writings can influence a person, I have realized that writing can be an art form that is not only an outlet, but also a way to share critical ideas. Therefore, I get a lot more out of writing than I once thought I did.
